806 down, 3 to go...

806= number of days i've had on summer vacation for the last 13 years.
3=number of days i have left of summer.
that's right... i move to good-ole searcy, AR in 3 days.
today consists of seeing some friends at the high school, and some packing. tomorrow will be a little packing and a trip to see g-ma and pop pop. and then wednesday will just be packing, and realizing it's my last day. thusrday, it's a full tank of gas and 300 some-odd-miles... can't wait.
i really am excited about college. i think my enthusiasm for it ran out about 3 weeks ago though. i'm happy with my decision to go to harding. and if i don't like it, or it doesn't like me- there are plenty of other fish in the sea... just wanted to tell you all i love you, and i'll see ya at thanksgiving!

READ JULY 27

July 27 tells you how to get on to post. You have to follow all the directions. : )

Clock's ticking

Last days with the kids. New chapter for all of us. I know Lyn is ready, but I'm not sure she's ready. Know the feeling? You may remember she cried buckets on her 10th birthday. She didn't want to be double digits yet. I think she is having some of those feelings. Aaron was almost 2 years younger at this point and couldn't wait to leave. Lyn has her stuff ready, but her psyche is having a hard time catching up. We will leave how I'm feeling alone for now.
We are on our way to get new phones. Our contract ends Sunday, we've been ok to get new phones since May. We are dragging our feet over this. I certainly hope we can walk in and get what we need since the kids leave Thursday.
If I avoid talking about the empty nest, maybe it won't get me as badly as I'm thinking its going to. Scott and I have started riding every Thursday night with friends again. That helps. All of us but two couples are empty nesters. Some grandparents in the group. Now that's the chapter I'm looking forward to. Not in any hurry to get there, but I think it will be a good time when we finally arrive.
Is everybody reading? Maybe we can get a few more of you to post if you read often. Love to all.
